Commerce

The Department of Commerce was established in the academic year 2012 with the aim of providing quality education in commerce and business studies, particularly to students from rural backgrounds. The department offers the B.Com. Degree Programme designed to build strong foundations in accounting, finance, taxation, business management, and entrepreneurship.
The curriculum under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) integrates core subjects, electives, and skill-based courses to enhance employability and professional competence. The department focuses on developing analytical thinking, financial literacy, communication skills, and ethical business practices among students.
Students are encouraged to participate in seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and extension activities to gain practical exposure and industry awareness. With committed faculty members and a learner-centered approach, the department prepares students for higher education, professional courses, and various career opportunities in commerce, banking, finance, and business sectors.
